Traveller Tips
  • Three days covers the city core plus one day trip to Jiufen; load your EasyCard with about $16 to cover all transit including the Ruifang train.
  • Do the city on days 1 and 2 and the Jiufen day trip on day 3 when your legs are warmed up for the stepped lanes.
  • The Jiufen bus from Ruifang gets long weekend queues, so aim to leave Taipei before 8:30 AM on day 3.
