Two days in Dubai is enough to cover the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and the Fountain on Day 1, then Old Dubai's Al Fahidi neighborhood, the Deira souks, and Dubai Marina on Day 2. The route averages 5-7 km of walking per day, with 3 Red Line metro segments on Day 1 and one abra crossing plus 2 metro hops on Day 2. The mid-day heat from 11am to 3pm sits at 28-32°C even in the cool season, so each day folds in one indoor break.

Traveller Tips
- Buy the Silver Nol Card at the airport metro station the moment you land: $7 issue cost plus starting credit. Both days run on the metro and one card covers both travellers if you tap one in and the other taps out at the same gate within 90 sec.
- Day 1 is mostly indoor and air-conditioned. Day 2 has 3 hr of outdoor walking in Al Fahidi and the souks; start it before 10am between November and March, before 8am between April and October, or the noon heat compresses the Marina half of the day.
- Book Burj Khalifa At The Top online at atthetop.ae 5-7 days ahead in cool season; the 8:30am or 9am sunrise slot is half the price of sunset and one-sixth the queue. Walk-up tickets at the kiosk hit a $64 prime-time premium even in the morning.
- Carry $14-20 cash on Day 2: the abra is cash only, the spice souk haggle settles in cash, and Bu Qtair Fish Restaurant does not accept card.
- If the temperature crosses 38°C on either day, swap the Marina Walk for the air-conditioned 1.7-km Dubai Aquarium tunnel + Dubai Frame combination ($14 frame entry, $39 aquarium combo) and the JBR sunset for the View at The Palm 52nd-floor deck ($14 booked online).
